The Russian fifth-generation fighter Su-57 has become a significant challenge for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to aviation expert Roman Gusarov.
He claims that the combination of advanced armament, next-generation radars, and avionics systems gives the aircraft an advantage over Western fighters F-16 and Mirage, which are currently operated by the Ukrainians.
According to Gusarov, the Su-57 stands out for its versatility, being capable of performing multiple roles on the battlefield. It can operate with bombs equipped with glide and guidance modules, as well as hypersonic missiles, eliminating the old division between fighters, bombers, and ground-attack aircraft.
The model also features low detectability, potential use of artificial intelligence, and integration with the S-70 Okhotnik drone. Developed by Sukhoi, the Su-57 has supersonic cruising speed, internal armament, stealth coating, and a modern suite of equipment, designed to neutralize air, ground, and naval targets.
